Lately...

Yeah, yeah, I know... I have not written in a while (you can stop flogging me now).
I have had a lot on my plate these days.

Last week was our spring break and I opted for the road trip with my best friend to Chicago. I will update you more soon with pictures and adventures of this 40 hour road trip...

I graduate in t-minus 6 weeks and still have so much work to do for my senior show that is opening April 24. There will be a lot of great stuff featured, however! A lot of new package design and ad campaigns. And since I know all you lovelies out there can not live fortunately close to Statesboro, Georgia, I will post pictures.

On another note, great news! I got into grad school today! So, I will be yet, stuck in this metropolis of a hillbilly town for three more years. more to come on that subject... hmmm.

And finally, I have signed up for this "project" called Brown Paper Packages- it is by a girl named Blair and she sets you up with a pen pal from across the world! You send eachother packages and letters about your life and you just get to know eachother! How cool is that?! Well, anyway, my pen pal's name is Pia and she is from Norway. I will be sending her the first package this week, so... we will see what happens!

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend!
much love, t

Bookmaking 101

So, I am taking this new class - Book and Paper Arts - and I LOVE it! We are learning to sew, bind, and cover books, as well as making our own paper from scratch! If you ever have the opportunity to take a class about this lost art, DO IT! You will not be dissapointed!

As for those of you who would like to learn how to make a book, I think these might be the best sites... one is for soft cover and one is for double cover... but if you are interested, do some research and make some different kinds, too! Mine are actually chip board covers to make them more sturdy.

Happy bookmaking!
love, t

Some Inspiration...

Hello out there!

So, sorry it's been a couple days... I have been quite busy applying for graduate school and getting my portfolio together.

But good news! I finished my personal logo! I would love to know what you think!

Also today, I found some really great things that may become new obsessions...

Sweet Saturday Sensations

Today is Valentine's Day! I started the day off...
...by making cupcakes for my Valentine!

They are not a pretty as these, but I am working toward it!
more to come later... :)

So, here are a few of my favorite things:
canvas, salt and pepper shakers, magnets, and Millie!

Happy Valentine's Day!
Bonjor!

This is my first time posting, so it will be short and sweet (I really want to start on Valentine's day). I was convinced to join this cyber society by one of my best friends,
M, and well, now I am here!

My name is Tori, and I am a graphic designer from Savannah, Georgia- but I love anything that can get my creative juices going... photography, jewelry creation, book & paper making, printmaking... many more too, but these are my favorites. More to come soon...

Au revoir!
